We are looking for a Sourcing Merchandiser(Category leader/ Senior sourcing) for a foreign company,base Shanghai #Retail# #Sourcing# #汽车售后市场# #Fluent English

· Participates in sourcing teams in Asia:

o Works collaboratively with global sourcing office team members to execute company’s sourcing strategies

(Assigned to Merchandising Team (s))

o Works collaboratively with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc., other supporting functions such as Legal, Tax, HR, IT, Internal Audit etc. as well as Asian suppliers to ensure optimal results

o Coordinates with the rest of the global sourcing office team to manage the direct import program in Asia

§ Identifies new vendors through different channels

§ Evaluates new vendors onsite

§ Develops new vendors to meet company standard of business capabilities, products quality and compliance.

§ Executes the direct import from the new vendors and smooth the transition of the program.

o Primary  responsibility

· Research on Asia auto parts markets and suppliers

· Maintain a database that lists qualified suppliers by product type and county of residence (both sales offices and plants)

· Execute request for proposals and requests for quote

· Use the company landed cost model

· Negotiate with, and select suppliers

· Visit factories as needed with the Quality team to document factory and product capabilities and assess supplier quality and take corrective action when necessary with Quality team

· Monitor market trends in Asian auto parts industry and determine implications for company

· Identify new cost savings opportunities

· Negotiate and maintain price lists/agreements/programs (Supplier Receivables Programs, Product Liability Insurance, Supply Chain)

Quality - Supplier and product testing

· Work directly with Quality team to support the implementation of supplier and product testing for Asian suppliers

Product development

· Work directly with Product Develop tam to support the development of the Asian suppliers


· Lead and coach the assistant merchandiser to meet his or her KPI
